Jesus is the greatest gift!

God is always with us! He graciously came to us through His Son, Jesus, and can live in our hearts through simple, child-like faith! Let's let Him reign in us as we rest in His love. This Christmas time, and New Year, may we let God work through us, not through our own effort, but with His Spirit leading our hearts. May you enjoy Him and His strong love for you and be always rejoicing in Him! "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:4-7). And may you always celebrate Him with the joy and peace that comes around Christmas time, naturally and thankfully sharing His love with everyone around.

For celebrating Christmas this year, I was again inspired to share the Christmas story! As recorded in Luke 2:1-20, “In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.’ When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.’ So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told."

God Bless and have a Merry Christmas celebrating Jesus,
our Savior's, birth!

Merry Christmas friends and family!
Christmas time is always so exciting and wonderful! I pray that we can all invite Christ into our lives and celebrate His beautiful birth. Let's also keep the Christmas Spirit, or really God's Spirit, in our hearts all year round. I mean, I wouldn't mind if Christmas lasted for a longer amount of time! Jesus is so good!

For Christmas this year, I am delighted that God has helped me to finish a cookbook. In it are healthy recipes for both your hearts; low-sodium and heart healthy cooking, as well as 'recipes,' or words from Him (you can read and check it out the full-sized pages below-on each page there is a little different surprise, so see for yourself!). It would be an honor if you could get one! (click here)
Also, as I culminate this long adventure in Christ, for He is the One who inspired me to do it, I reflect on how God has always been there in my life and always shown Himself faithful (Hebrews 10:19-23)! The process of making the book has been very beautiful, challenging and tasty. I've noted too, how God has always helped me at each step along the way. Although some times were more tough than others, He always provided the way for me to find the solution. I've been reminded, especially around Christmas time, that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life! That is why He came; to provide a way for us to have a right relationship with God and others! There may be hard times for a little while on this earth, but One day He will return to set up His good and perfect, loving and peaceful kingdom forever! All of His other promises have been true, such as Him being the Savior, raising from the dead, or sending His Holy Spirit, so this one will be true as well!!! Let us continue to fix our eyes on Jesus, the reason that we have freedom and life, and may we remain in Him this Christmas and every day! Here is my favorite passage of scripture that really says it well, Hebrews 12:1-3. It reads, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

May we all look to Him in everything we do to love Him first, and others as ourselves (Matthew 12:30-31)!
Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you!

+As you can see, there are several nice ways to give this year on the upper right side. I was really excited by the 'Operation Christmas Child' and the 'Gift catalogue-for Christmas' programs. It would be great if we all could help in any manner, these people who need our help! More importantly though, let's all share the great love of Jesus! This would be a perfect Christmas gift to give - His love! God Bless your Christmas!
