Hearts for Him

Here are some quotes and Scriptures meant to engage our lives with God! He is so good and desires a relationship with us! I often find that I come to Him with my head, or strength, but He gently reminds me that I have a heart. 'Come to me with your heart,' 'Give me your heart,' He lovingly says. When I do give Him all of me, then I can begin to see how amazing He really is. I see that He is unfailing love. He is God! Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us engage our minds, hearts, and all of our being, to Him who first loved us. "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" (1 John 4:10). And, Jesus said the most important commandment is to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these" (Mark 12:29-31).

♥       A psalm. For giving thanks. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.   Psalm 100

♥       Fear thou not; for I AM with thee: Be not dismayed; for I AM thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.   Isaiah 41:10

♥       Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears. You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, because they could not bear what was commanded: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned." The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear." But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens." The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken - that is, created things - so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our "God is a consuming fire."   Hebrews 12

♥       But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.   Galatians 5:22-23

♥       No one will receive true fortune, except for those who invest in Him.

♥       It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.   Romans 9:16

♥       And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.   Romans 5:5

♥       He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."   Matthew 17:20

♥       God does exist! And He is so loving, kind, compassionate and full of mercies. I mean, He gave us color! Let's praise God today and share His goodness with all His people!

♥       Praise the LORD!!! God always reigns His love on us, and gives us His Light so that we can see the beautiful colors of His Providence and Promise. (Romans 5:5, John 8:12, and John 9:5; Genesis 9:13-15, about the waters never again becoming a flood to destroy all life. See also, 'Rainbows.')

♥       For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -   Ephesians 2:8

♥       Footprints in the Sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
And he noticed two set of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to him and the other to the LORD

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
He recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
There was only one set of footprints

Dismayed, he asked, "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most,
You would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My precious child.
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
When you saw only one set of footprints . . .

That was when I carried you."

♥       Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.   Deuteronomy 31:6

♥       No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.   Joshua 1:5

♥       Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.   Matthew 28:19-20

♥       "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").   Matthew 1:23

♥       Miracles are always happening because God is always with us!

♥       Joy is forever because God, You Are forever!

♥       Laughter is a miracle! Go for it and enjoy His love!

♥       Jesus Loves you!

♥       How amazing are You God! You Are so big and yet so loving and personable!

♥       God is always here

♥       What if flying was simply a matter of trusting in God!

♥       Every beat of my heart says, 'Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Thank you God!'

♥       May my eyes reflect You God, and also may my heart and mind and my soul and everything in me! You Are Love!

♥       Laughter is relaxing in Him!

♥       God is so good! He is not breath-taking, but LIFE-GIVING!!!

♥       The greatest gift is God who is Love! One of the other greatest gifts is God hugging and kissing us every day with His Love!

♥       I love being free, because I'm with You God!
-Freedom is freedom in Christ. (From Galatians 5:1, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."; John 8:36, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."; and Ephesians 3:12, "In him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.")

♥       Believing in Jesus is seeing! (See, 'Breakthrough 9: Being made in the image of God!')

♥       He said part of worship is this: "The Holy Spirit's guided posture of receiving His love into you heart."
(See also, 'Breakthrough 11: John 17:20-21; One with the Father!' God loves you!)

♥       Enjoy Him!

♥       This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.   1 John 4:10

♥       He compels us to love Him first and others as ourselves, as seen in the greatest two commandments: "Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-39). He does this in us through His strength and goodness! [And actually everything too! For, "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."]  "To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me" (Colossians 1:29). This 'struggling' in Him is actually resting in His energy. God does the miracles and gives the Love, all we do is rest in Him by faith! For rest in God is victory! (Matthew 12:20; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 1 John 5:4) He is amazing! He is always enough! Since God is infinite, He is always pouring out His love, and there is an unlimited amount of His love! (From, 'GOD pours out HIS LOVE in us!,' and 'Compelled by LOVE.' See also the description in the Inspiration section!)
Plus, God gives us all the energy, so even when we get words from Him, let's ask Him to write about them through us as well! Like, we shouldn't just let Him start something amazing in the Spirit, and then later write about it on our own, in the flesh! From the start to the finish, the Holy Spirit should lead the Way!!! Everything good comes from Him, so let's let Him work through us always. He is lovely! This can be in writing, in teaching, in speaking, laughing, painting, swimming; everything! He is so good, so when people look at us, may they see Him!!! Hallelujah!!!!!!!! God is so beautiful! He is LOVE! He fills us with His LOVE!!! (See, 'GOD pours out HIS LOVE in us!'; 'Breakthrough 11: John 17:20-21; One with the Father!', summarizing from 'Compelled by LOVE'; and the description in the Inspiration section!)

♥       Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing. Ezekiel 47:12

♥       God laughs with you!

♥       A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.   Psalm 23

Feel free to share if you have a quote that brings us to know God more. "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light" (Luke 11:33). God Bless you. May you receive His love and peace for you!
